The The Master of Science in Applied Economics (MSAE) degree program is designed to provide students with much-needed skills to be competitive in the future labor market.
The MSAE allows students to gain a solid foundation in economics, strongly focused on applied quantitative methods and data analysis. In a world increasingly reliant on big data and analytics, the demand for professionals equipped with these skills will continue to increase. At the national level, the MSAE target occupations are projected to grow 14.7% in the next ten years.
Graduating students will develop a robust analytical framework for working in a wide variety of areas, such as business and financial management, market research, international trade, public policy, health economics and public health, and criminal justice and law.
Coursework
The MSAE is a flexible online program set up to accommodate full-time students and working professionals. The MSAE can be completed in as little as one year for those taking a full class load (four classes per long semester and two classes in the summer) or two years or more for those who prefer a slower pace.
Coursework for this program is completed online.
