Deborah Harvey

Deborah Harvey is currently the Assistant Professor of Horn in Practice at Sam Houston State University and a core member of the Theater Under The Stars orchestra. She studied horn performance at Interlochen Center of the Arts, Northwestern and Rice Universities studying with Gail Williams and William VerMeulen.

She has taught and coached horn players throughout Canada and the United States for over 20 years balancing teaching with a busy performing career. She has performed with the Houston Ballet, Houston Grand Opera and River Oaks Chamber Orchestra. She is a member of the Magnolia City Brass Band and Gulf Coast Brass.
